The Southern Museum of Flight, one of Birmingham’s proverbial Best Kept Secrets, was in need of an image makeover on several fronts — from their website and newsletter to their event-related flyers.

New Website

Website Redesign / Site-Performance Impact:

  • Total impressions increased 44% (from 153K to 221K). Which means Google is showing the site far more often — and that the new structure is more SEO-friendly, faster and more relevant.
  • Average Google position improved from 31.9 to 13.7. Which means the redesigned site also ranks significantly higher for any number of valuable keywords.

Museum Blog

In addition to the new website, we created a blog as a platform for telling the endless collection of great stories associated with the museum’s history and its exhibits.

Aviation College

Offered in conjunction with Snead State, the Aviation College represents the museum’s commitment to Workforce Development — a core component of Mayor Woodfin’s strategic plan for Birmingham. The College's first class (which graduated Spring 2025, when we initiated a promotional campaign) had two students. Enrollment for the Fall 2025 semester was 25 students.
